The Motz Group is one of the most recognized and highly respected synthetic turf and high-performance natural grass system professionals in the world. With more than 40 years in the sports turf industry, the Company proudly stands behind their products and services to ensure long-lasting, prosperous relationships with their valued customer base.
Backed by its parent company The Motz Corporation, an employee-owned company, The Motz Group’s primary mission is to build fields and build futures. As a result, the organization cares about the young athletes, students, and communities it serves. This is exhibited through multiple community impact efforts, one of which is the Motz Annual Service Day. During these days, the team’s leaders and employees visit a place in need and give back.
Some past benefactors of the company’s Annual Service Day include renovating baseball fields with the Reds Community Fund, helping fix up the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, and adding green space to inner-city schools. Traditionally the scope consists of fixing un-kept natural fields, adding new fields, touching up paint, cleaning up debris, general landscaping and giving the community space a fresh look.
This year, Motz helped the Covington Independent Public Schools build a five-a-side soccer structure at Holmes High School. Working through heavy rain for the first few hours of the day, the team installed a durable playing surface that features Motz’s custom synthetic turf, CrossFlex, progressive organic infill, Safeshell, and a shock absorption pad. In addition, the community volunteers spruced up the grounds by painting, mulching, and installing synthetic turf in a small outdoor classroom area.
Members of the high school and school district staff were very appreciative of The Motz Group’s work to give both students and the community a safe space to play during and after school. Covington Independent expressed their gratitude by sharing some great photos of the transformation.
While the school district gave Motz praise for the work it did during its Annual Service Day, it is not a project that could have been done without the dedicated and generous partners that donated their time, materials and other resources to help the day run smoothly. These partners include Dewey’s Pizza, Pioneer Natural Resources, Rumpke, Schmitz Foam Products, and Shaw Sports Turf.
