American Sports Builders Association Honors The Motz Group for Construction Excellence at Grand Park Sports Complex

As a result of exceptional quality craftsmanship, The Motz Group (TMG) has been once again selected by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) as a winner in the Multi-Field category of its association’s annual awards program. TMG is being recognized this year for our work at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield, Indiana.

ASBA, the national organization for builders and suppliers of materials for tennis courts, running tracks, field and indoor sports flooring annually recognizes tennis, track, field and indoor facilities that exemplify construction excellence. Grand Park’s synthetic turf fields were selected by an ASBA member panel of judges who reviewed the entries on elements such as layout and design, site work, drainage, base construction, surface, amenities, innovation, and overall impression.

One of a kind due to its size and accommodations, Grand Park spans over 400-acres and offers a full-range of championship-level sports amenities. Among the many attractions, are seven synthetic multi-purpose and eight synthetic baseball fields. During its inception, TMG was tasked with delivering 15 quality-built synthetic turf fields to the state-of-the-art facility. Each synthetic turf system, TriplePlay for the baseball fields and PerformanceBlade for the multi-purpose fields, was specifically designed and engineered to perform at the highest caliber and have become center stage for athletes ranging from youth to college, on through to professional.

TMG is proud to be one of the few organizations to have multiple ASBA Certified Field Builders on staff further solidifying our commitment to delivering a superior end-result. The Certified Field Builder Program was developed by the ASBA to help raise professional standards and to improve the practice of field construction. Obtaining a certification of this measure takes many years of experience, a vast amount of knowledge, and true dedication to building quality, well-structured fields.

As a winner in the Multi-Field category, Grand Park Sports Complex’s synthetic turf fields are in the running for ASBA’s Facility of the Year award to be announced at the closing dinner on December 7, 2015 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona.
